FAQ’s

What does a Meet and Greet visit entail?

Upon your interest in Waggin Tails, the owner or pet sitter, will come to your home for an initial consultation to meet your pet(s), go over your home care instructions, and get you started on your Precise Petcare Profiles. Waggin Tails is now using a secure software system in order to keep track of clients information, garage/alarm codes and pet information. As a client, you will have the ability to make changes to your schedule, see when your personal pet sitter arrives, leaves and how far they walked by GPS.

This initial meeting is required prior to service and lasts about 15-30 minutes. The first meet and greet is Complimentary to our clients.

If you are a client that only uses our services 1-2x a year, we recommend a Vacation Intake visit in order to get reacquainted with your pets and update any changes with your pets and/or home. ($22)

How will the Pet Sitter enter my home?

At the initial Meet and Greet, you will provide your pet sitter with a key to your home which is stored safely with the pet sitter or the owner. We will test all keys at the Meet and Greet. Garage codes are fine to enter, but is case of a power outage, we prefer to have a key as well. At the Meet and Greet, house alarm instructions should be gone over carefully and the Pet Sitter have a full understanding of its operation. It is our job to ensure the safety of not only your pet but your home as well. If Waggin Tails does not hold your key, a $10 key pick up fee will be issued on your invoice.

How long is each visit?
Standard mid-day daily dog walk visits are 30 minutes. Vacation visits vary from 15 -30 minutes for Cats and 30 minutes for Dogs. Puppy visits are approximately 30 minutes. If you would prefer extra time, please let your Pet Sitter know upon scheduling. An additional fee will be applied.

Coverage includes (but is not limited to) damage to property in our care, custody and control (including pets and home) as well as coverage for lost keys.
What happens if my pet becomes ill or injured?

Client Testimonials

"Waggin Tails is an excellent company, providing both daily walks and vacation visits. Our dog, Lucy, gets terrific lunchtime walks from the ever-reliable walkers, who shower her with affection and provide detailed feedback to us. Their friendliness and professionalism mean we are always happy to trust them with our pup."

Jeremy Bell

"Jami is more than a pet sitter, she is like family! Garrett and Stella (dogs) are always so happy to see her when she stops by to visit. Their tales are crazy waggin! Even when Jami isn't working, she may stop by the house and she fills up their water bowls. Jami comes highly recommended by myself and my kids. We wouldn't think of boarding our dogs anymore."

Lisa Lyon

"Sam, is a rescue and has always had some anxiety when he sees our suitcases out. But ever since we’ve started using Jami he has been much calmer when we leave. He loves the walks, playtime and the many treats!! Our kitty, Harriet, shares the same love for Jami, as well. She loves their playtime, the treats, and her clean litterbox!"

Karisa Reichard
